A POLICE helicopter was spotted hovering over Cirencester on Sunday night at around 10pm, searching for a vulnerable person, yet officers said they had no record of an incident.
NPAS Filton, a police helicopter serving the south west of England, assisted in a search for a missing vulnerable person last weekend.
The person was found safe by officers on the ground.
The Standard reported in the paper today that Gloucestershire police had quashed rumours of a police helicopter in Cirencester on Sunday night, because they had no record of it being sent out by them.
However, it has now been confirmed that the helicopter belonged to NPAS Filton.
