SNOW fell on high ground as temperatures plummeted overnight in the Five Valleys.
The Stroud district saw around a centimetre fall, mainly on higher ground and a yellow weather warning of snow and ice issued by the Met Office will remain in place until noon today, Wednesday.
Stroudies can expect temperatures to remain at around two degrees Celsius with sunny spells and showers, becoming increasingly wintry.
All schools have opened in the Five Valleys however other schools have been affected in the county.
Berry Hill Primary School and Berry Hill under fives, Glos and Forest Pupil Referral Service Joys Green Centre and Lakers School are all closed, in the Forest of Dean.
