A FREE course to support people worried about the substance misuse of a relative or friend will start next month.
The course is made up of five weekly sessions and makes it possible for people to meet with others who are facing similar concerns about the alcohol and substance misuse of a loved one.
Sessions start on Thursday, February 5 and run between 6pm and 7.45 pm.
The programme pilot in Gloucester and cover a variety of topics, with the support of facilitators who will provide the group with information, support and ideas to manage situations.
The initiative is a partnership between the Positive Caring learning and support programme for unpaid carers, Turning Point, the organisation who provide drug and alcohol services on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group.
