A 59 year-old man suffered facial injuries when he was assaulted by at least seven men in Swindon.
The incident took place at approximately 8.20pm on Friday 19th December 2014 outside Mackenzies bar on Wood Street.
After the assault, the man's attackers ran off in the direction of the Goddard pub.
Wiltshire Police are now appealing for witnesses to the assault.
A 50 year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries. Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw several men running away from the Wood Street area.
