POLICE are appealing for information following a house burglary in Tetbury in which the victim’s car was also stolen.
The burglary took place at a dwelling in Sherwood Road sometime between midday on Saturday, January 17 and 6pm Wednesday, January 21, when unknown offenders have entered via the rear of the property and searched the premises, exiting via the back door.
Items believed to have been stolen include a Dyson cylinder hoover, a Ferguson flat screen TV, an engagement ring (gold with diamonds encrusted), and a Longines platinum watch.
In addition the owner’s car, a red Mitsubishi Colt, was stolen from the rear of the property using car keys taken from the premises.
Tetbury Beat Manager PC Leah Davis said: “This was a particularly callous burglary from the house of an elderly victim who was absent from the house at that particular time receiving treatment for a serious illness.
"It is important we catch the offenders as soon as possible. I would urge anyone who saw anything or anyone suspicious over that period to contact us as soon as possible”
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 330 of 21 January and crime number 1522/15.
