HACKERS claiming to be Islamic took over a website run by Stroud’s Black Book Café on Monday.

Large letters appeared on the screen saying ‘HACKED’ above what appeared to be an Arabic symbol.

Underneath it read: “Hacked by Peyman Siyahi & M@rAz Ali”.

This was followed by a badly written sentence which read: “Islamic Hacker, charlie hebdo Waiting for Be ready to attack. World-Hacker.Org.”

It then went on to give email and Skype addresses.

Staff at the popular café in Nelson Street were shocked when the SNJ alerted them to what had happened after a reader contacted the paper.

The website was restored by the afternoon.

Manager Molly Wright said: “I am in shock and can’t believe it, I don’t understand.

“I do not have a clue why they have hacked us.”

Molly had not visited the site for around a week and said the last time she checked, everything was in order. “I am quite overwhelmed and will be informing the police,” she said.

A Google search revealed the pair have hacked several websites.
