POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault that took place in the High Street, Tewkesbury on the evening of Tuesday, January 27.
The incident occurred at about 6.50pm outside Subway where a woman and her son reported that they were attacked by two or more youths, possibly both males and females.
They allegedly spoke insultingly to the woman, got her in a headlock, and kicked her son. The couple reached their car but the youths attacked the vehicle and managed to get into it for a brief moment before the couple were able to drive off.
The couple both received bruises to arms and face. They were badly shaken.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting Incident Number 404 of 27 January and crime number 02045/15.
