A CHARITY race night to raise money for the Summit for Bonnie appeal is being held at King’s Stanley Village Hall on Saturday, February 21, starting at 7pm.

The event will be the latest in a series of fundraisers devised by five close friends of former Prince’s Trust worker Nick Bonnie who died in September 2013.

Craig Mayo, one of the organisers, said: “Since Nick’s passing we have hosted a number of fundraising events in the build-up to our big trip in October.

“That’s when five of Nick’s friends, myself included, will be climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.”

“So far we have raised in excess of £10,000 for the Prince’s Trust, where Nick worked for eight years, and our grand target is £12,500.

“The February event is our second race night, as the first one was a great success.”

The evening will include a raffle and bar, and tickets, at £5 each, are available at summitforbonnie.co.uk
