A FATHER has gone to great efforts to reproduce a famous public information booklet about surviving a nuclear attack, which was published by the government in 1980.
After reminiscing about his adolescence, John Barton was inspired to reproduce the information booklet Protect and Survive.
The booklet, which was published by Her Majesty’s Stationery Office, gave information on how to survive a nuclear attack.
John, from Brownshill, said: “As a teenager in the 1980s, I grew up with a dread that nuclear war was inevitable and I wasn’t alone.
“I wanted to highlight the fact that we still live under the threat of nuclear weapons and the folly of trying to survive a global nuclear conflict.”
