AN OPTICIANS in Cirencester is asking people to “make their faces funny” for this year’s Comic Relief.

Visitors to Specsavers, Cricklade Street, can buy Red Nose Day glasses for £3, which can then be customised to be silly or serious.

The spectacles can be entered into a prize with the most creative winning a family day pass to Cotswold Farm Park.

The competition will close on Wednesday, March 11, and the winner will be picked on Red Nose Day, Friday, March 13.

On Friday, March 6, staff at Specsavers will be raising more money by dressing up and selling cakes.

Stuart Anglin, store director of Specsavers Cirencester, said: “The team is looking forward to joining in the fun and wearing the specs and we hope to raise as much money as we can for Red Nose Day.”
