AN AUCTION in aid of the planned Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home is to take place in Tetbury on February 28.

The auction, organised by the South Cotswolds branch of the RSPCA will see lots up for auction ranging from a meal at the Trouble House just outside the town to a cap signed by legendary Queen guitarist Brian May.

The auction takes place at the Charity Furniture Emporium on London Road in Tetbury. Doors will open at 9am and lots will start to be auction from around 10.30am.

Almost 500 lots will be up for auction and between 11.30am and 12.30am guest auctioneer Lisa Maxwell,  best known for her appearances on chat show Loose Women and in police drama The Bill, will be taking the bids.

Tetbury Audi has also donated a driving experience and individuals have also donated their own treasures including vintage Hornby train sets and other toys.

Head of business at Tetbury Audi Gary Tombs said that he was happy to help the auction with their donation.

He said: “So many of our customers walk in with their own dogs that we even have dog biscuits behind the counter so we knew that Audi drivers would want us to get behind this incredibly important project for animals in need.”

Chair of Trustees of Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home Carolyn Blackburn said: “Everyone involved with the charity is really thrilled with this wonderful auction item and we hope other businesses will want to get involved too – it’s not too late to donate and play your part in changing animals’ lives for generations to come.”
