LEAFLETS will be delivered to houses in several streets around Cirencester during the week commencing Monday 23 February by Cotswold District Council and the National Energy Foundation (NEF).

The leaflets are being dropped as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the funding on offer for solid wall insulation.

Streets, including Ashcroft Gardens, Chester Street and Victoria Road are being targeted because they contain houses which should be eligible for installations: After the leaflet drop, representatives of Lakehouse surveyors will canvass door-to-door about two weeks later.

Residents who are interested will be asked to contact NEF so that they can arrange a Green Deal Assessment.

The first ten Green Deal Assessments will be free and the next ten assessments will cost £50 + VAT.

After claiming free and discounted assessments, residents will have to pay the full price for the Green Deal Assessment which is £141.60.

If the resident would like to take up the offer, NEF and Lakehouse will then arrange for the installation work.
