RESIDENTS of Southfield Care Home in Park Road, Stroud, opened their doors to the local community on Saturday for a Valentine’s Day afternoon tea.
Anne-Marie Damsell, activity coordinator at the care home, said: “I ran a Burns’ Night event for the residents, and this was my second event.
“The aim was to raise money for our amenities fund, as we have plans to brighten up the front garden with new plants but it was also just a chance to open the doors to the local community and invite them to join in.”
The afternoon tea included cream scones, a cake sale and a raffle, and the 34 residents, their families and guests all enjoyed their special event.
