Mayor of Malmesbury Sue Poole on the B4040 earlier this year
A MAIN road into Malmesbury will be closed overnight starting this Monday.
The B4040 from Holloway Hill to Cross Hayes will be closed between 7pm and midnight each night from March 2 until March 17.
This notorious road has not been resurfaced for many years and the decision to repair it was met with delight by those at the most recent Malmesbury Area Board.
Wiltshire Council will be having the road resurfaced, the road markings re-done and ironworks adjusted underneath.
The alternative route will run via 4040–B4042–A429 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
