A LOCAL man was found dead in his Cirencester home yesterday, after police and paramedics forced the front door open to get inside.

South Western Ambulance Service were first called to the house in Queen Street, Cirencester at around 11.30am yesterday (Thursday).

Gloucestershire police were also called to help get into the property. Officers were seen forcing the door open at around 12.30pm.

A man in his 50s was found dead in the house.

Police have confirmed that this is being treated as a non-suspicious death.

The coroner has been informed.
