POLICE have warned of a con man who goes into shops to order a drink and then accuses staff of short-changing him.
Businesses in Bourton-on-the-Water and Moreton-in-Marsh in the North Cotswolds have been affected.
On paying for his drink the offender has handed over a £10 note but then tells staff that he gave them a £20.
In all cases he has been given an extra £10 in change.
At this time it is believed seven establishments may have been victim to this offender.
He is described as a white male aged 40-50 years old with short black hair, speaking with a Liverpool accent.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
