A MAN was hit in the face after two gangs of friends started a fight outside Cirencester Leisure Centre.
Police were called at 4.15am on Sunday, March 8 after a group of men got into a fight with another gang.
Police said the first group were outside the leisure centre on Old Tetbury Road when they started talking to a gang of five men.
One of the men from the second group hit a man from the first group in the face. The victim dropped his phone, which he has since recovered.
Officers say they have no idea why the man punched the other man.
It is believed that the second group of men later entered a nightclub in Cirencester. The man who threw the punch is described as white, in his early to mid twenties, about five feet 10 inches tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a black shirt.
The victim did not require hospital treatment.
Any witnesses, or anyone who knows any information, should call 101 quoting incident number 68 of March 8.
