Bourton-on-the-Water residents had raised concerns about creating homes in the field as it has flooded in the past
CONTROVERSIAL plans to create a gypsy site in Bourton-on-the-Water have been approved.
Cotswold District Council’s planning committee granted permission for a site on a field off the A429 Fosse Way, between Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, at a meeting this morning.
Residents who live nearby had raised concerns about the traffic problems the site could cause, as well as the fact that the field has flooded in the past.
As a result, the committee gave applicant John Aldridge temporary permission for the site for three years, so that traffic and flooding issues could be monitored.
