THE victim of a burglary in Chesterton earlier this week has been reunited with her stolen goods, thanks to Standard readers.
Police asked residents of Chesterton, near Cirencester, to check their property after a thief was caught in the area with expensive goods on Sunday night.
A 23-year-old man was caught in 4-acre field at 10.30pm on March 15 in possession of a Hayter lawn mower and a JCB pressure washer.
Officers asked residents to get in touch if they had any information about the burglary, and Standard readers were quick to share the information with anyone they could.
This morning Cirencester police received a call from a woman who lives in Chesterton Park who said the goods belonged to her.
The 23-year-old man has now been given technical bail in respect of the buglary and police will be charging him in the next few days.
He will be appearing in court this morning on suspicion of shoplifiting groceries from Tesco Express in Chesterton.
