BURGLARS broke into a Northleach home on Saturday evening and stole jewellery, and people are urged to make sure their property is well lit when they go out.
Intruders forced their way into a home at the west end of town on the weekend. They broke in through the patio door and took some jewellery. No other items were taken.
Thanks to dog walkers, and a message sent via social media, the items were found in a nearby field.
The police came round to speak to residents that night. Officers are urging residents to keep their houses well lit when they are out, and make sure outside intruder lights are working.
The last few break-ins in the town have occurred on properties backing onto darkened areas and fields.
If anyone sees anything suspicious they should call 101.
