A supermarket in Cirencester has got tails wagging after it donated hundreds of pounds to the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home (CDCH).
Waitrose customers vote for one of three local charities using green tokens they get when paying for their shop.
This time CDCH was given £324 to help towards building a permanent centre for re-homing animals.
CDCH needs to raise £800,000 to build a permanent to help them re-home hundreds more animals.
Carolyn Blackburn, chair of CDCH said: “We are so pleased that so many people put their token in the box for the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home. Every day we see animals who don’t have a loving home. It’s heart-warming to know that so many people do love and care for their pets and want to see others being equally happy.”
