Fairford charity gearing up for its big fundraising event of the year
A CHARITY in Fairford is gearing up for its big fundraising event of the year.
During the next two weeks, collectors from the League of Friends of Fairford Hospital will be calling at every house in Fairford, Lechlade, Kempsford and surrounding villages to raise money for the league’s work in the community.
The event runs from March 30 to April 12.
Chairman Graham Hewitt said: "This is the big one. A large proportion of the money we use to support the NHS with community nursing, transport and respite care comes from this house-to-house collection and we rely heavily on public support."
