COTSWOLD residents caught a glimpse of the best solar eclipse in years on Friday.
In the solar eclipse, the Earth is plunged into darkness as the Moon comes between us and the Sun.
Although viewing was restricted by cloud cover, it was still possible to get great views of the eclipse, which occurred at around 9.35am.
In all parts of the UK, the eclipse was at least 83%.
