A VICAR from the Cotswolds who moved from Kempsford to Bibury has said his time so far in his new village has been "wonderful".
Tim Hastie-Smith, 53, used to be the vicar of Kempsford but was asked if he wanted to move to Bibury instead. He agreed right away as he was keen for a new challenge.
The former headmaster is part of the South Cotswolds Team Ministry and said he loves his new village. He never fails to be shocked at the amount of weddings held in picturesque Bibury.
"People come from all over, London, Newcastle, Italy, the USA, because it's so beautiful here," he said. "It's lovely".
Rev'd Hastie-Smith said there are already 40 weddings booked for this year, which he finds amazing.
"There were five weddings around Christmas time," he added. "It was extraordinary."
Rev'd Hastie-Smith lives with his wife Joanne in Bibury. They have three children, Emily, 26, Edward, 24, and Alice, 14. The Rev'd said his two eldest children love coming back home as they love the village so much.
"It's a real family village," he added.
There is currently a vacancy for a vicar at Kempsford church.
