GORDON Sherry, with second and third rounds of 69 and 68, has inspired

Kilmarnock Barassie as they surged into second place yesterday in the

European Club Cup at La Quinta, Spain.

Representing Scotland in the 24-nation tournament, Barassie's trio of

Sherry, who also shares second place in the individual competition, Jim

Milligan and Leslie Crawford moved to within four strokes of leaders

Denmark with one round remaining. Crawford weighed in with a 74

yesterday, but Milligan, with an 82, again failed to contribute. Leading
