ACTORS' union Equity is to take the BBC to court in a pay row over new

satellite channel UK Gold.

The BBC has sold back-episodes of shows such as EastEnders, ''Allo,

Allo'' and The Onedin Line to the channel which features classic series,

but actors complain they are not being paid enough for repeats.

Negotiations between Equity and the BBC broke down two weeks ago and now

they seem set for a court action unless the dispute can be resolved.
