Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information following the sighting in Edge End, Coleford of a wild boar with an arrow sticking out of one of its rear legs.
A member of the public reported this at around 9.00am this morning.
The police would like to warn the public that an injured animal may be dangerous and not to approach it but to report any further sightings to the police.
It is illegal to shoot any animal with an arrow in the UK and police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this attack, finds an arrow in the locality, or who has further information.
