THE first British aid convoy into Bosnia since shipments were

suspended after Nato's Sarajevo ultimatum braved fighting yesterday to

continue its mercy mission.

British forces said the convoy, which had to spend the night at the

main UK base in Vitez because of intense fighting between Muslims and

Croats, had reached its destination, Zenica.

The eight-lorry convoy was looted on Monday when a crowd blocked the

road at Gorni Vakuf and locals tossed sacks of flour to their comrades.
