Glasgow City begin their defence of the Women's Premier League Cup with a tricky away tie at Boroughmuir Thistle tomorrow.
City began their treble-winning campaign last year by lifting this trophy and will be eager to do so again.
However, as City's Megan Sneddon pointed out, the Edinburgh outfit will be keen to cause an upset. She said: "In every match we are favourites, and you do feel the opposition lifts their game against us."
City's biggest rivals last season, Spartans and Celtic, face each other in a tie both would rather have avoided at this stage.
Celts strengthened in the summer with the signing of three Scotland caps.
