Swindon Parkrun
SIX Running Somewhere Else members ran in last week's Swindon 5k Parkrun, with Matt Lambourne coming in first for the club in 19.58, followed by Mark Sherwood (21.18, PB), Sally Jamieson and Dave Witnall on 22.27, Elaine Chapman (22.53) and Elspeth Murano (38.37, PB).
Llanbedr Blaenafon Fell race
JAMES THOMAS braved the 35th Llanbedr Blaenafon 15-mile fell race on Saturday. This race is a category AL fell race with a 4,500ft ascent and extremely mountainous and tough.
It was run in very windy conditions.
James achieved a fantastic result to finish 14th overall in a time of 2:29.02.
White Horse Half-Marathon
CAROLINE TERRY and Kirsty Pitts travelled to Grove near Wantage to compete in the White Horse Half-Marathon on Sunday.
Some 464 runners managed to battle the wind and rain to complete the course, with Kirsty finishing in 1:51.46 (PB) and Caroline in 2:23.23.
Forest of Dean Half-Marathon
IVOR PROBERT and Louise Abbott were among 1,478 runners who competed in the wet and windy Forest of Dean Half-Marathon on Sunday. Ivor came in first for the club in 1:50.15, followed by Louise in 2:29.38.
Calne Clock Change 5k
SALLY JAMIESON ran for the second time over the weekend at the Calne Clock Change 5k Challenge. Despite the terrible weather she was first lady home in a time of 22.08.
