A STOLEN Renault crashed into a police vehicle near Stroud, before making off.
The incident took place night of March 26-27 near Stroud when a stolen blue and white Renault hatchback travelling along the A46 from the Cainscross Roundabout collided with a police car.
No police officers were injured in the collision, when the car stopped and reversed at speed into their vehicle, before making off towards Edge.
A Renault was later found abandoned in the Edgemoor Inn car park, with extensive damage to its rear end.
The car was initially stolen from outside a house in Mayhill Way, Gloucester, sometime between 9pm – 1.30am on the night of March 26/27.
Police recovered the owner's handbag containing a debit card and small quantity of cash from nearby.
Anyone with information about the incident, or who saw anyone walking along the A4173 between Edge and Gloucester on the night of 27 March, is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police.
