The Outdoor Gym. Did you know that Stonehouse now has its own outdoor gym? It is on the Laburnum Field alongside the children’s play area. It is suitable for all ages. Give it a go.

Savvy Seniors Cinema Club meets every Monday at 11am at the Vue Cinema in Stroud. Next Monday April 6 ‘Fury’ starring Brad Pitt. Cotswold AONB Wardens Walks. Why not walk off the Easter eggs and join an easy walk, 4 miles taking 3 hours, on Tuesday, April 7 from Old London Road to Wotton (ST 75943) Westridge woods. Stonehouse Methodist Church will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in July. Hats for Seamen. Thank you to all who knit hats and balaclavas they are always very well received and another 30 are on their way to keep heads warm. If you would like to knit a hat, patterns and wool are available in the town hall.

Stonehouse Library Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Bookstart Bear sessions are back from 10.30am until 11am every Wednesday during school term time. Stonehouse library has a Home Library Service to promote community group or charity events. The building is also available as a venue for meetings. Pop in or call Lucy on 01453 823176.

Stonehouse Pensioners Club. Come and meet old friends and make new ones by joining the Stonehouse pensioners club. We meet alternate Wednesdays at the Stonehouse community centre at 2pm. Stonehouse History Group next meet Wednesday, April 8 at 7.30 in the Town Hall. Jill Ruiz and Friends of Gloucester Waterways Museum will join us to talk about ‘Life on Narrowboats’. They will bring with them a display of artefacts and costumes to give an idea what life was like for women and their families living on narrowboats. Don’t forget the AGM on May 13. Please bring an interesting historical object to display and possible talk about.
