A40 closed between Northleach and Burford after serious accident
A SERIOUS accident on the A40 near Sherborne is believed to have been fatal.
One person was killed in the crash, which happened at around 11.30am today, it has been reported.
The stretch of the road between the A429 junction in Northleach and the B4425 junction in Burford has been closed in both directions as police officers investigate.
Police are urging motorists to use alternative routes.
A police spokesman tweeted: "Lots of traffic in the area. Please avoid if possible."
