The Outdoor Gym. Did you know that Stonehouse now has its own outdoor gym? It is on the Laburnum Field alongside the children’s play area. It is suitable for all ages. It’s free. Give it a go.

Stonehouse History Group next meet Wednesday, April 8 at 7.30 in the Town Hall. Jill Ruiz and Friends of Gloucester Waterways Museum will join us to talk about ‘Life on Narrowboats’. They will bring with them a display of artefacts and costumes to give an idea what life was like for women and their families living on narrowboats. Don’t forget the AGM on May 13. Please bring an interesting historical object to display and possible talk about.

The Stroud Valleys Music Club meets this evening, Wednesday, April 8 at St Joseph’s Church Hall at 7.30pm for a music presentation A Story of the Keyboard. John Crockford illustrates the development of keyboard instruments from early days up to modern music technology. Cotswold AONB Wardens Walks. This Friday, April 10 we walk from Bull’s Cross to Upper Slad Valley and Dillay. A six mile walk taking three hours. All walks start at 10am and return to the starting point. Hats for Seamen. Thank you to all who knit hats and balaclavas they are always very well received and another 30 are on their way to keep heads warm. If you would like to knit a hat, patterns and wool are available in the town hall.

Stonehouse Library Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Bookstart Bear sessions are back from 10.30am until 11am every Wednesday during school term time. Stonehouse library has a Home Library Service to promote community group or charity events. The building is also available as a venue for meetings. Pop in or call Lucy on 01453 823176.

Royal British Legion – The Royal British Legion has implemented bi-monthly meetings, they will be on even months; Feb, April, June, Oct & Dec and on the first Tuesday at 7pm.
