With temperatures in Stroud set to reach 21° this afternoon, prepare yourself for the hottest day of the 2015 so far.

Any mist and fog will quickly burn away with temperatures reaching their highest of the year by mid-afternoon. However there is an outside chance of the odd shower developing later.

Tonight will also be a mainly fine evening and night across the region, with further clear spells. However still a low risk of the odd sharp shower developing in places.

Forecasts say tomorrow will be another mostly fine day with spells of warm sunshine, however cloud amounts will tend to increase throughout the day. Many places will be dry, but an isolated shower is possible.

There is still the risk of the odd shower on Friday, otherwise it will remain mainly fine and settled but much cooler than of late, with a brisk wind developing along the south coast.

Forecasters have also warned that Britain will be hit by more smog during April’s mini-heatwave.
