VOLUNTEERS are needed to help on the next stage of a complete makeover of Cricklade Town Hall.

The management committee for Cricklade Town Hall have been transforming the hall since the start of this year with help of a team of an army of volunteers.

The mountain of tasks completed in the refurbishment, include painting the hall, repairing the stage area, and moving and replacing the Cricklade coat of arms that hangs in the hall and replacing it with a cinema screen.

Hard working volunteers have also decorated the annexe, installed broadband cables and replaced fire exit doors.

But more pair of hands are needed to carry out other jobs in the next stage of the project, expected to start in August, such as insulating the storage room area.

David Tetlow, chairman of the management committee for Cricklade Town Hall, said: “It is not completed but it is a never ending job as it is quite a large building and I have been trying to find volunteers to refurbish it.

“We are very reliant on volunteers, it is their community hall, it belongs to the community.”
