NURSERY pupils from Meadowpark School in Cricklade used peddle power to raise cash for the National Society for the Prevention of cruelty to Children (NSPCC) on Saturday.
The youngsters were cheered on in the sunshine as they completed a sponsored bike ride on a specially marked out road on the soft surface at the school.
And many children managed to complete over 100 laps, whilst being careful to observe the rules of the road. Laura Milne whose son Oscar took part, said: “I am amazed at how well they followed the arrows marked on the road.”
Rajvinder Kular, head teacher of the school said: “The road marked out on our soft surface playground makes an ideal circuit and the sponsored bike ride has become an annual event”.
“It teaches children the value of doing something for other children which is why we chose the NSPCC.”
