A SINGER from Cirencester helped raise the roof on the weekend after his group wowed celebrity judges and millions of viewers on ITV's Britain's Got Talent.

Daniel Jagusz-Holley, 21, appeared on the famous ITV talent show last Saturday night as part of all-male group The Kingdom Tenors.

The team of singers impressed the usually-critical judge Simon Cowell, who called it "a polished performance".

"It was an out-of-body experience," said Daniel, who grew up in Cirencester but now lives in London. "In my singing career I've performed to bigger audiences than this but that was the best I've ever felt on stage."

After performing their own rendition of "You Raise Me Up" by Westlife to a live audience of thousands of people, The Kingdom Tenors, featuring 12 lads aged between 21-31, received top marks - four yeses - from the judges.

Such a high score means they might go through to the semi-finals next week.

Former Deer Park pupil Daniel said the group did not think they would get such a positive reaction from famous judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

"It wasn't what we were expecting at all," he said. "We just thought it would be a great experience and we said we wouldn't get too dragged down by it.

"It's just blown up now," he added. "We have thousands more followers on Twitter - 90 per cent of which are girls!

"Facing the judges was really scary but it was also a really lovely and wonderful experience."

The Kingdom Tenors all met through performing in various shows and auditions. Daniel is the only local lad and is also the youngest of the group.
