A MAN from Cirencester has been arrested for drugs offences following a warrant in the town.

Officers carried out the warrant at an address in the Watermoor area yesterday afternoon.

A significant amount of class B drugs along with some cash were seized and one of the occupants of the address, a 53-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug and has been bailed until June 24.

Local officer for Watermoor PC Paul Gillan said: "We are very pleased with the result of this warrant. It sends a clear message to the local community that we in Cirencester take the issue of drugs very seriously.

"If anyone has any concerns about this type of activity I would urge them to contact us on 101."
