Savvy Seniors Cinema Club meets every Monday at 11am at the Vue Cinema in Stroud. Cotswold AONB Wardens’ Walks. Next Tuesday, May 26 come to Tetbury Tourist Information Centre for a five mile walk lasting three hours to Long Newton and back. All walks start at 10am.

Stonehouse Community Partnership – calling all photographers and poets. Time to be creative. Arts Explosion Festival Week, Monday June 29 – Saturday July4 will be holding an exhibition of photographs and poetry from local people to celebrate the ‘Heritage of Stonehouse’. Hats for Seamen. Thank you to all who knit hats and balaclavas they are always very well received and I have just posted another 20. If you would like to knit a hat patterns and some wool are available in the Town Hall, or contact me.

Stonehouse Pensioners Club. Come and meet old friends and make new ones by joining the Stonehouse pensioners club. We meet alternate Wednesdays at the Stonehouse Community Centre at 2pm. Enjoy some entertainment, followed by tea, coffee and biscuits, we also have a raffle. Walking is considered by many to be the best way to keep fit. Stonehouse Health Walks take place every Tuesday morning. Meet at the Community Centre to start walking at 10.15am. Walks last up to one hour and this is an excellent way to keep fit and make new friends. The Pop-In is open for coffee at the end of the walk. There are a number of walks around Stonehouse and leaflets giving details are available from the Town Council.

Bike Marking & Crime Prevention Advice Saturday. May 30 1pm-5pm. Come along to Stonehouse Community Centre to get your bicycle coded free of charge. Also advice on crime prevention and various items such as shed alarms, timers and smart water will be available for purchase.

Stonehouse Gardening Club. Duncan Coombes will be joining us on Wednesday, June 3 to talk about Rock Gardens and Alpines. Meetings are at 7.30 in the Community Centre.

Stonehouse Methodist Church will be holding their annual Summer Fayre on Saturday, June 6 at the Douglas Morley Hall, Elm Road. There will be a Barbeque, Skittles, Cream Teas and various stalls including cakes and games. Everyone is welcome and doors will open at 2pm.

Stonehouse Horticulture Show and Summer Jolly. Sunday, August 9. Community Centre and Laburnam Field. Time to get those green fingers out to prepare for the annual Hort Show; the schedule will be available soon.
