AROUND 60 friends and relatives will gather to celebrate Ivy Cook’s 100th birthday.
Ivy, from Stroud, will reach the milestone today with a celebration planned at the Old Crown in Paganhill on Sunday. Work hard and enjoy life is Ivy’s advice.
Daughter Margaret Hawksworth, who has organised the party, said: “She’s getting tired and can’t walk very far but she is still in good health and goes to play bingo on a Saturday afternoon.”
“I wanted to make it nice for her and I think she is looking forward to the party.”
Ivy was born in Selsley and has lived in the Cotswolds for all her life. She has one brother, 12 years younger, who will also be at the celebration along with many colleagues and friends.
