Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information following an assault on a woman in Gloucester.
At approximately 11.30pm on Thursday May 21 a woman was leaving a house in Armscroft Road, Gloucester and walking to her car when a person came up behind her and tried to grab her handbag.
The woman managed to hold on to her handbag but the assailant then punched her in the face giving her a nose bleed before running off towards the crossroads with Blinkhorn Bridge.
The victim was unable to identify whether the offender was male or female but he/she was wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans or jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or who saw a person running off or behaving suspiciously in the area. Please call 101 quoting incident number 03 of May 22.
