TO celebrate the 10th anniversary of group that raises cash for cancer research, a garden party, is being held at South Cerney Manor home of Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen, where a semi-finalist from Britain's Got Talent will perform.

The event is being organised by the Cotswold Breast Cancer Now which was renamed this month when it merged with breast cancer research charities, Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The event on July, 3, which is completely sold out, will include a bring and buy plant stall, a fabulous raffle and a selection of live musical entertainment and stylish stalls. Acts will include The Femmes, MJ-UK Music & Arts, including Dan Holley of The Kingdom Tenors who reached the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent this year.

The group was set up in 2005 by Eira Hooper and Amanda Homan-Green of Cirencester, when Eira was diagnosed with the disease.

“We decided to focus our energy and do something positive to help create a future free from the fear of breast cancer for our daughters and future generations,” Amanda said.

“Sadly Eira lost her fight in 2008 but thanks to our wonderful and dedicated patrons and committee members, who volunteer their time tirelessly, we continue the fight that Eira started by organising fun fundraising events throughout the year and every penny raised will go towards helping Breast Cancer now fund their vital research and help us to achieve their ambition to put an end to breast cancer by 2050.”
