THESE eye-catching pictures of Stroud were taken by local photographers during an evening in the town centre.
Members of Stroud Camera Club went out to capture the town on a sunny summer evening.
Club chairman Richard Pearse took the picture of the teenagers outside the church and said the shot happened almost by accident.
He was taking a picture of the sunlight on the grass but the group thought he was snapping them without permission and asked him to stop.
Richard told the SNJ: “I said ‘I am not taking pictures of you, but I can if you want’.
“They conferred briefly and their modesty melted away. ‘Go on then,’ they said.
“So I did. And what a friendly bunch they were. We joked about old people and churches and before you could say Ansel Adams I had captured my prizewinning pictures.”
