TO celebrate the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta there is a medieval theme for this year’s Edge Fete.
On Saturday, June 27 the green will be transformed into the Castle Gardens for the day with tents, bunting and medieval costumes.
A castle gatehouse has been constructed to act as a focus for the celebrations, which was painted by 90-year-old local artist Tony Milne.
Other attractions will include prizes for best medieval costume; craft stall medieval pillow fights bric-a-brac, children's games, cake stall, Magna Carta treasure hunt.
The event will also feature Edge's very own cheese rolling game, as well as a plant stall, raffle, BBQ and a bar.
The Frampton Silver Band will be playing during the afternoon and a wandering troubadour will be entertaining the fete goers.
A medieval fruit machine completes the line-up for the fete that begins at 2pm on Saturday.
