Can you help keep Stonehouse tidy? The fourth Community Litter Pick takes place this Saturday, June 27, meeting at 2pm at the Youth Centre Oldend Lane. This is just before the Britain in Bloom judges visit Stonehouse in early July and gives us the opportunity to ensure Stonehouse is litter-free. Refreshments will be served in the Youth Centre after the collection.

Stonehouse is going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Week June 29 – July 4. Volunteers will be wrapping the High Street trees in felt, yarn and knitted items. Shops and business have all given their support and will be turning their window displays pink or wearing pink for the week. On Saturday July 4, info cards will be given out in front of the Co-op and there will be a wire sculpture to tie pink ribbons on in remembrance or to show their support to help fight cancer.

Savvy Seniors Cinema Club meets every Monday at 11am at the Vue Cinema in Stroud. Next Monday, June 29, The Water Diviner. Starring and directed by Russell Crowe, this is the account of an Australian man travelling to Turkey after the Battle of Gallipoli to try toand locate his three missing sons. Stonehouse Methodist Church will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in July. If you were christened, married of have had any connections to the church since the 1955 opening please get in touch, especially if you would be willing to lend any photographs of mementos. Celebrations will include: Saturday July 4 from 10-4pm and Sunday July 5 from 2-4pm.

Leonard Stanley Village Fair. Saturday, July 11 from 12.30pm on Leonard Stanley playing field.
