POLICE were called to a nature reserve near Cranham after a report of four men involved in sexual activity on Thursday.
An officer attended the incident near Cotswold Commons and Beechwoods National Nature Reserve at just after 3pm, but the men left the scene.
A police spokesman said: "While having sex in a public area is not illegal it can constitute the offence of outraging public decency.
"Police work with partner agencies and charities to minimise the effect on the local community of any public area where people meet to have sex and anyone with concerns should contact police via 101."
