TEMPERATURES will hit 30°C today as the Stroud braces for the hottest day of the year.
You can expect sunny spells and blue skies throughout the day, as the heat wave continues across the UK.
Despite this, there is a continued risk of very isolated thunderstorms developing later in the day.
But on the whole it will be very hot, with a maximum temperature 30°C around midday.
After a fine evening with late sunshine, tonight will be largely dry before cloud thickens later with the threat of showers across the region.
Staying warm and muggy, with a minimum temperature of 15°C.
Public Health England has urged people to look after those who may be vulnerable in the heat, such as older people, young children and those with serious illness.
Advice is to stay hydrated with cool drinks and keep indoor areas as cool as possible.
