A MOTORIST in Stroud was caught using a mobile phone whilst driving this morning.
Gloucestershire Road Police tweeted their thanks to the person who sent in a video of the driver.
According to the tweet the driver of the red car had their hand off the wheel and their head down while using the device.
It’s illegal to ride a motorcycle or drive using hand-held phones or similar devices, even if stopped at traffic lights or queuing in traffic.
You can get an automatic fixed penalty notice if you’re caught using a hand-held phone while driving. You’ll get 3 penalty points on your licence and a fine of £100.
