SCHOOLS from across Stroud took part in an end of year sports tournament at Stratford Park.
Some 897 pupils from 35 primary schools took part in the KS1 tournament, organised by Kick Off Stroud, last Wednesday to Friday.
The event marked the culmination of a series of mini tournaments held across the district since January.
Will Mansell, from Kick Off Stroud, said: "Our dream was to see every school in the Stroud area take part and join us in promoting sport for younger pupils who would not normally get the chance to play competitively.
"We have been delighted with the take up and the children have certainly enjoyed themselves."
Funded by Gloucestershire County Council's Active Together Fund, Kick Off Stroud have seen over one thousand children take part in the activity since January.
Kick Off Stroud is a social enterprise, founded in 2012, which aims to provide opportunities for children to play sport who may not otherwise be able to.
Six coaches from the organisation work in 15 schools and youth centres in Stroud, providing over 55 hours a week of sport to pupils.
